“Needing a 4 step small ladder, I was off to the bigger name stores to visit their hardware section. This is the only place I know of that sells such items... well that is what I thought until I visited Max's Ace Hardware. I came to the intersection of C street and Live Oak Ave heading towards 17. I looked to the right and saw the familiar Red, White. and black sign...ACE HARDWARE. Let's give local sb a chance. Well, I walk into the store and to my amazement this is a well-stocked, well supplied, unthinkable stock supplies of items necessary for any aspect of housing maintenance, repairs, and the like. There is actually customer support that was more than happy to assist me and the other shoppers find exactly what they needed for our shopping lists And yes! Then when I was done shopping they came out with me and helped load groceries and took the cart back in so I didn't have to. The two service folks asked great questions and showed me some options that I wasn't even thinking about that made sense for my space and wants. Due to their sale, I made a phone order after finalizing my decision (I purchased a sample and the color choice was spot on - although I wish the sample was smaller than a quart). The clerk ensured I understood the best options for the paint I was ordering. I went to pick up the paint, and even with the sale, I had sticker shock. I have never spent over $120 for 2 gallons of paint before. However, I purchased it as I did order it. I do want to support a local business over a box store. Lesson learned - ask price before actually ordering. Customer service was topnotch!”

“My daughter was an actual patient here and we were pleasantly surprised by this clinic. She had no insurance and had not yet applied for the medical card. They performed an ultrasound to tell her how far long she was, provided vitamins (everything is free of charge) and assisted her to apply for the medical card. The nurse was very supportive and helpful, and there was absolutely NO pressure or judgement. It was all about my daughter and what was best for her. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has an unplanned pregnancy and isn't quite sure what to do.”
