What a great place to visit! Hiked along the trail closest to the river and found this guy. The trails are well marked and plenty wide for groups. Lots of beautiful native flowers and plants.
This place is awesome especially since it’s so quiet. There’s campground, hiking trails, awesome volunteers, a free fossil museum with goods, kayak tours and rentals! Really a hidden gem in Ruskin. Good for dogs and the kiddos! My kids even got some free fossils from some awesome volunteers that went above and beyond to make the experience even better.
A nice outdoor preserve with nature trails and a canoe launch.
Back to nature, great for kids!

In a nutshell, Camp Bayou is a nature preserve with trails, nature center, fossil museum, native village, picnic tables and more in its 160 acres but there are no
playgrounds, ball fields and other less 'natural' activites.
