  This Doctor has helped me regain my activity, my ability to walk and move again. And his approach is conservative. That is the best review I can give.

  Dr. Lao is exceptional. Not only does he have expertise in his medical training and practice, but he demonstrates his compassionate through his healing work. Dr. Lao is thoughtful and eager to help. His care and support have helped with my spinal issues immensely. Dr. Lao is extremely knowledgeable; he shares his pertinent wisdom to improve patient understanding. He is also very "hands-on" when needed and has incredible skill with knowing what the body needs. I am beyond grateful.

  Have been going to Westchase orthopaedics and Rehabilitation for about four and a half months now. Awesome group of folks.I had Dr Wendell Bulmer do my shoulder. He was very good about explaining what was needed, surgery wise and about stepping me through the process, being up front with me, informing me that mine would indeed a complicated ( involved) surgery. The staff have always been super accommodating here. As far as The rehabilitation portion in the back part of the building. They are fantastic. Under the direction of Dr Lao they run a very tight ship. My physical Therapist is Dr Mikukaschek, She is tough but an awesome therapist. The PT technician, if that is the correct verbiage is Amanda. She is excellent, as is Chris, up front. Being a long time athlete and having numerous injuries i have probably used maybe five or six other rehabilitation facilities. None of them compare to this place. In all honestly I think this place has been my lifeline so to speak, when I am going thru ups and downs about why is taking so long, when everyone has told me this is a long rehab. The last facility I was at, sorry, no names would have 15 or more people in there at times. Many times you were pretty much on your own, which is fine. However, I feel it is vital that you are under supervision to insure that your rehabilitation
  is done correctly so to avoid further damage. That is one thing I love about this facility is that there usually just a few clients present, and you are under the watchful eye of your therapist. I highly recommend Dr Lao, Dr Mikulasckek and all of the staff at Westchase Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation.

  Dr. Lao is simply the best! His intense educational training and specialty of the spine are something that you seldom come across these days. When I lived in Bradenton for 9 months I would drive over an hour just to see him because he was the only one I trusted with my physical issues. His assistant Sam is wonderful and Lisa at the front desk is always very helpful! There is another PT there that I have not treated with, but I only hear great things about him! :-) I will not go anywhere else.
