I am a DOL worker myself. After an on the job driving accident other than the care I received in the ER from the ambulance trip, I was never given any copies of any forms for follow-up care or treatment, including a traumatic brain injury. The accident happened on 10/26/2018. Thank goodness for health insurance. Yesterday, 5/28/21, I presented myself for treatment from excruciating pain in my lower back. I was ready to leave and in tears because I have spent years trying to get one care provider to pick up the phone and call my claims examiner, FINALLY, the team at Horizon did exactly what needed to get done. Even FOI no longer cares for OWCP patients. Florida Pain Relief Group also has zero clues how to fill out the federal forms and provide the detailed medical explanations of what OWCP even needs. God forbid they pick up the phone to call OWCP.

Hopefully I can start getting the care and treatment I need and deserve. My emotions were so out of control and they saw through my tears to try to help me. All workers deserve this type of compassion when they are already down and out. Ms. Connie, Dr. Taylor and the rest of the staff, thanks again!!! I may not be out doing the parade today, but the relief has begun!!! Thank you all.
