Motel 301

This establishment has just the right amount of "at home" feeling . Great alternative to some other big name chain hotels.

Smell as CIGARETTES. Other times I have stay there it has been perfect

I stayed at the Motel 301 for a couple of months right in the middle of Tampa still getting hammered with Covid-19, and it was honestly the least stressful motel experience I've ever had. From my first day there, the owners and staff always took the time to say hello and make sure I had everything I needed, even though they stay very busy working all day long. The owner even saw me with my hood up one hot and humid afternoon and pulled his car around to help me get my truck started.
I never had a privacy concern, a rude interaction, or any sort of negative experience during my stay. As someone who has spent several long term stays in hotels/motels (up to a year and a half), the majority of my stays were regularly stressful with the police showing up all the time or just constant yelling coming from some room 3 or 4 doors down. My stay here was peaceful and convenient. I never even heard a noise coming through the walls. And after work everyday, I always walked into a spotless and great smelling room that I could actually relax in (the new housekeeper is very thorough and incredibly friendly).

I don't normally write long reviews, but I wanted to make sure the whole staff knows that I appreciate all the hard work that they do to make their guests feel as "at home" and as safe as possible. When I left this morning, the owners were already busy working outside, but they came and told me that they appreciated my business with them and said they'd keep a room for me if I ever need it in the future. I just want to give my appreciation back to them with an honest review and give my recommendation to anyone looking for a clean and calm place to stay for a night or for a while. You won't find more respectable people to stay with.
