Very remote, no facilities at all, but great for families or couples that enjoy the back-country. Boat ramp for small boats. Rope swing and tiny beach on the creek. Pet friendly, but watch for Gators and bears. Well patrolled by law enforcement.

Alexander is a typical Florida spring creek with a mix of shallow grassy areas, open pools, areas under the forest canopy and banks ranging from swamp to forest. There are some homes upstream and down, but it runs mostly through undeveloped Ocala National Forest lands. You may find areas with deadfalls blocking the channel which will require a bit of work to get over or around as well as forks with only one passable channel. Watch for wildlife including alligators of all sizes. Have fun paddling and bring your trash back out with you, m'kay?

Fabulous creek for paddleboarding. Almost noone here. So beautiful.

Interesting place - middle of no where. Dirt foest roads are rutted here and there but still passable in 2-wheel drive. Cast for a while but got no bites. Water was tannic and cool.
