Very peaceful, with great views of all kinds of nature. Birds, gators, and some beautiful flowers everywhere.
Florida wetlands on the north shore of Lake Apopka. Bikes are recommended but trails can be walked. Full sun, no shade. A variety of birds and other wildlife can be seen.
Take a walk, enjoy nature.
I didn't get a chance to go far but, I can tell this place has a lot to offer as far as scenery. I turned back because I was on foot and there are alligator warnings all over. I heard a big splash an was like nope! I will return on bike however. This is a long trail so a bike would actually be recommend. All in all, for what I did see, it's promising.**Important for first timers*** the parking is on the left hand side into the field when you reach the red end of road signs. You can drive in there and park. I was confused at first because the sign said "No motor vehicles"....lol I asked a resident in the area and he confirmed it was the parking area. I took a picture of the sign that leads into the parking area.
This is a real loop and at the same time gives you options to stretch to two other ends. The only issue is that most of the part of this loop goes withou any shade. So it would be very hot to walk in summer. The loop has been paved for velchels, so you in fact walk on a road not a trail.
