It took me a long time to finally seek help. Tiffany the receptionist is absolutely amazing! She made me feel so comfortable. When I met Dr. Joyce I was so nervous not knowing how my appointment was going to go. I’ve never talked to someone about my problems other than my best friend and my SO. When I sat down in her office my fear completely left, she made me feel so comfortable and let me cry out everything I had to say. She was so comforting and explained every feeling I was having and why. I learned so much in my visit she spent hours with me getting to know every detail of my life and my problems. I left there so confident in my treatment plan and was finally relieved that I was getting the help that I’ve needed for so long. She is so sweet and kind. She referred me to a therapist who I cannot wait to meet. And recommended 2 books for me to read. I immediately ordered them off amazon. I’ve began reading the first book and it is helping me learn how to cope with things so well. She is truely a great doctor. Yes appointments take a long time to get but there are limited psychiatrists and people don’t understand that. Be patient trust me the wait is so worth the outcome! Going to Dr. Joyce was the best decision I’ve ever made when it came to my health!

Dr Joyce was my doctor for almost 20 years until I relocated to Australia. She communicates very well and explains everything in details. When she prescribes medication, she will make sure that you understand and warns you of the possible side effects. As far as I know, Dr Joyce is the best psychiatrist I have ever come across. I am going back to the States by the end of May and for sure will schedule an appointment with her. She is the most ethical and honest doctor.

I have had nothing but the utmost professional, courteous, timely appointments and service response by Dr Joyce and staff! Never having to wait long for my appt in a waiting room either like many others have. Plus they help to always quickly resolve any conflicts I have with pharmacy refills too as Dr Joyce keeps very accurate notes and records. Dr Joyce listens and makes time for me in between appointments if needed and will not over medicate like many others in my past have done. Any non urgent phone calls have been returned same day if not the next business day. I hear from many doctors I see that I am so lucky to have Dr Joyce as she is the best and I so agree!! Blessed! I got right in when I moved to the area. But I do know from prior experience, in other states too, getting in to see anyone in the mental health and treatment field can have a 4-8 month wait. That is not Dr. Joyce's fault but a limited amount of doctors available for a growing industry.

First, I've been seeing Joyce since I was 24 and she is the first Psychiatrist that has treated me with respect and understanding of my personality. I have never had to wait longer than 24 hours to receive contact back from her office, and I call at least once a month. Maybe the previous reviewer was using the number that is for her practice group, SIMED, and not her actual office.

I started seeing Dr. Joyce Smolarski after being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder 8 years prior. She has to be the kindest person I have ever met. She listens to me when explaining my problems and concerns, and then reiterates what I've said to show that she is listening and understanding me. She offers suggestions to solutions of my problems, instead of insisting specifically what my problem is and method to take to resolve it.

I've been dealing with my condition for a long time and finally, after seeing Joyce, my life has changed for the better. There are no words to explain how thankful I am for Joyce's help.
