  Great staff. One of the lesser sized state parks the fronts Lake Manatee. Nice full facilities camp sites, biking and hiking. Beautiful boat ramp. Note fishing licenses are required as well life jackets. Boat motors limited to 20 hp.

  Nice state park and lots of trees. It has a playground for the kids and a nice pavilion area. It has a lake you can fish in and a boat ramp. The campground has water and electric and a dump station. The sites are a good size and nicely shaded. We fit our 30ft TT and truck with some room left over in the front and a wide side to side also.

  Not quite what I was expecting, but still lovely and peaceful for a walk. And for $5, you can't go wrong! This looks like a great spot for camping, boating and canoeing. For walking around and checking out wildlife, it was okay. I was hoping to see some turtles and armadillos because they were posted on the website. We explored the Gopher Trail and it looks like it gets a lot of traffic from horses. Once you walk away from the road, you experience the peace of walking between the trees.

  This is a great place to camp, but if you need ice or food supplies, you'll have to leave the park which isn't a huge deal because there are gas stations and a Publix supermarket within 6 miles or so but an onsite country store would be cool. Overall, we had a great experience here and will come again.

  Nice park, water and 30 amp electric sites, small playground, nice picnic area, boat launch. Very loud because of the nearby race track (drag racing started at 9am and went till 11pm for 3 days straight)
