Captain Fred was awesome! He took me through all the skills and answered all my questions thoroughly. He was very knowledgeable without overloading me with information. He was very nice and personable without being overbearing or micromanaging my experience. I will definitely be using him in the future to continue my diving certifications!

This was an amazing experience! We came with 4 little kids and Fred was very patient with us! Clean boat, delicious hamburgers, experienced captain! Trained and friendly dog was a great addition, my kids enjoyed his company even more than everything else. I would highly recommend you to get an amazing experience with Fred. If you ever come back to Sarasota we will definitely call Fred again.

My family of 6 had a complete blast with Captain Fred and his first mate Henry (his dog whom my kids all loved). Would recommend this Charter to anyone because it was awesome. Captain Fred is first class and USMC. I know who will be my family's Captain every single time I come to Sarasota in the future, thanks Captain Fred! Wear Swim shoes if you want to jump off of ruins or risk getting cut on coral as Captain warned!

Captain Fred was great, before we left the marina he showed us where the safety equipment was. Gave us all the options as far as just snorkeling, just beach, or beach and snorkeling. Was willing to customize our time according to what our group wanted. Showed us where we would get the best snorkeling in. Henry the beagle made a great first mate!
Unfortunately, a storm started rolling in as we were snorkeling. Captain Fred was sure to get everyone back on the boat and discussed our options. We decided to be safe and cut our trip a little short. Captain Fred was apologetic, but no complaints here… he can’t control the weather!
Would definitely use Born Blue Diving Charters again!

I had a wonderful time with Captain Fred! I had booked diving 2.5 weeks in advance with another charter and was cancelled the day before my dive. I flew in from Denver to dive for my birthday with family and was devastated, thinking I would not be able to dive on this trip.

Luckily, I reached out to Born Blue, and they were able to get me on the next day! Captain Fred was not only professional and courteous, but he went above and beyond to ensure that we all had a wonderful experience. Captain Fred took us to amazing spots with plenty of wildlife and reef to explore. He helped change out my gear for my 2nd dive and offered refreshments in between and after.

He was prompt with his communication before the dive and thorough before and during. He made our dive experience super fun and very easy.
