Nice easy path, paved and boardwalk. Great leg stretch for any age or ability. Excellent birding, great Interp, clean restrooms. Do take the black vultures seriously. They will attack the rubber on your vehicle. Tarps are provided there. Video version is up on my channel on YouTube.
Great entry level trail in the Everglades. This is one to take the kids on. Lotta wildlife, easy trails, and bugs ain't to bad on this trail. Good place to start your everglades adventure.
Cool trail to check out birds and alligators. The information session was nice and entertaining. Kudos to the instructor.
Great short easy hike. Lots of native wildlife and plants. Definitely a good introduction to the Everglades National Park
This is one of the best trails in the Everglades.
1. It's pretty close to the main entrance so you won't drive forever.
2. It's boardwalk allows you to really get in the swamp and see the sea of sawgrass.
3. It's long gravel section is a great place to see gators as they like the warmth of the path.
4. It has bathroom and snack amenities.
The only downside is that it is short. You can walk all the paths and trails in about 30 minutes. More if you stop and smell the Everglades apples. I recommend going here and connecting it with a few other stops in the park like there Nike Missile Center.
