Beautiful place!
I suggest starting the day off with a tour of the lighthouse. Then head on over to the beach and relax by the serene clear water. Just watch out for stingrays when going in the water, I accidentally stepped on one.
In the afternoon, head on over to Boater's Grill for some of the best cuban coffee you'll have and walk around No Name Harbor.
End the day by watching the sunset over the water from the trail next to The Cleat.

If you're looking for a nice beach without the madness of South Beach this is the place to go. The drive to the beach is awesome especially the early part when you're just entering Key Biscayne. Getting there early helps where you can get parking close to the restroom and restaurant. The lighthouse is open now and the kids enjoy walking up into it. There are some nice trails for nature walks and a few small "pier" like stations you can cast off and fish. These get full really early. The water is usually clear. Whether or not there's a lot of seaweed depends on the day. It's usually very family oriented and in all the years I've been going we've never felt unsafe. The price has gone up but it's well worth it. You'll pay more than that for parking anywhere else you may try and go. Just a note, you may look it up online as Bill Baggs, but if you're asking any locals, you'll want to refer to it as "El Farito".

Nice and peaceful park. They have bike rentals at the parking lot, including the fun surrey/quad bikes for the family. No lack of walking and nature trails, tons of iguanas, historic lighthouse, and plenty of picnic space. The beach is super nice as well. Would recommend bringing cash as the bike place doesn't accept cards and sometimes the machine in the park entry booths doesn't work as well. Great for families and couples

My husband and I booked Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park for our wedding ceremony (elopement) and it was an amazing experience. We only spent a few hundred dollars to be married on a beautiful and peaceful beach with that scenic lighthouse back drop. We had a morning ceremony and Bill Baggs helped us arrange an off duty ranger to let us in the park before it officially opened to the public. During the ceremony it was just myself, my husband, our officiant and our photographer on the beach. Bill Baggs even let us return the following day to actually make the payment so we didn't have to stress about any of that on our wedding day. The planning vendor we used for this location was Small Miami Weddings, and they were also completely amazing.

Visited this week for the first time in a long time and I forgot how beautiful it is here. The sand is narrow where I was but the tide was high and it felt like a private beach. Absolutely beautiful. Spring breakers are not invading and it’s a reminder of the lovely pieces of paradise we have here in Miami.
