Great hotel! Went there last year for a couple of days! Perfect location near the bach. Will return for sure.

At the Heart of South Beach Vibe!

You hardly can find a location that beats Pelican's. At the heart of Ocean Drive with lots of restaurants, hotels and things to do, Pelican Hotel stands out with a great overall package: Free breakfast from select menu (and 20% off other items)-which is really really great, 20% off from the restaurant menu, 2 free drinks per room per day and free beach towels and chairs (from ~9:00AM to 6:00PM).

But there is a downside: The noise. There is always something going on in Ocean Drive, and thus you can hear loud musics, beats and sometimes drunk crowds hours after dark. If you are not fine with this, then you might want to consider staying at the hotels in Collins Avenue.

We had issues with the very noisy A/C system in our room. Tried to use the ceiling fan instead, but we realized it was even noisier than the A/C!

The room decoration is slightly strange, but that decoration is aligned well with the philosophy of its designer (i.e. the same person(s) who comes up with the brand Diesel designs). I personally found the decors too intense, but my wife liked it.

In all, staying at Pelican Hotel will be a great experience, IF you can handle the noise: Both from the outside and the noisy A/C and fan!

Delicious complimentary breakfast. Great customer service. Great location. RIGHT across the street from the beach. Stay also includes free happy hour drink & free beach chairs (umbrella not included). I'll take 1 star away because I feel like the building needs an overall wipe down/dusting.
