Large forest with approximately 13 miles of hiking trails.
The scenery is beautiful.
Much of the trail runs adjacent to the creek.
Natural ravines can be witnessed here.
Horse trails kayaking and camping both drive up and rural age offered.
Please don't let land developers destroy this rich habitat! Deforestation and the clearcutting of native growth are horrible for the environment and will lead to invasive species, mosquito booms and the killing of wildlife. Please, if you enjoy this serene area and know it should be protected, stand up for nature and say no to land development!
The Pioneer Trail is a great hike with several nice primitive campsites away from roads. Nicely maintained trails with decent elevation changes (for Florida). Nice river. Not too buggy (in May).
Great fishing. Quiet and relaxing.
It's a place of peacefulness,n you can get a price of mind and enjoy nature
