Amazing place, quiet and beautiful. BEWARE with the mosquitos and yellow flies. You can rent kayaks, canoes and boats. Also, there are excursions on boat. Bathrooms are clean. After 6pm everything is closed, so secure whatever you need before that time.
We would do it again, maybe in winter.
We stayed for one night at the end of March and wish we had stayed longer. These are furnished with everything you need to be comfortable during your stay, including towels (shower use included in cost of tent; bathroom and shower house is a short walk away and secured with a keypad code). Sitting out on the little porch watching the sunset was one of our highlights of this trip.
We loved the ecotents. Fan and light and 2 full beds were well appointed. Bathrooms were fine (bring soap and shower shoes.)
For those planning: it is a hike to Flamingo store but not too far (initially I thought they were all clustered together), but distance isn't too far (just worth mentioning if you are planning on this spot and need food.)
The best spot is on the edge near the ocean for sunrise! Bring/rent a kayak/paddle board and go out and enjoy the sunrise! Otherwise, remember this is where they test the strength of DEET in insect repellents… be prepared for the mosquitos.
