Islamorada Dive Center

This weekend I took my Open Water Divers course with IDC. I had a blast! All of the instructors that helped me were very knowledgeable, patient, and fun. All the crew were awesome too! I can't wait to go back on more dives with them in the future. The dive sites were pretty cool, we saw sharks, sea turtle, tons of fish, crabs, and more!

I dove with Islamorada Dive Center in March, 2024. We did four dives total with this outfit. I was impressed with the operation, very organized and made it all so easy. They were professional throughout. The boat is very nice, clean, organized, and well run. We went to four different dive spots, which were beautiful. This is a concierge type outfit, that helps you wherever they can, including if you desire, to setup your equipment or exchange tanks in between dives.

Our guide in the water was Angeline, and she was amazing. She was knowledgeable on the sea-life, the sites, and safety. I was diving with my two daughters that are less experienced, and she was really great with them, helping them learn and grow, and have a great time. As a bonus she took photos of us diving and emailed to us after the fact. If you dive with this shop, and get Angeline as your guide, you are going to have a great time. The other employees seemed great too as an aside.

I would dive again with this outfit, they did a really nice job, and we had a great time. We will be back.

Started with a check out dive in the pool with Devon. Did a lobster dive with Doug. It was cut short because of an inbound storm. Got 3 lobsters. Doug did a great job. Second half day back with Devon. Also a great experience. Really had a great couple of half day dives. Fun professional group.

If you have a desire to dive in the upper Florida Keys, try Islamorada Dive Center. This shop is well stocked, professional, and most importantly safe with the diving conducted. I did a charter with them in July and was not disappointed. The site we visited was Rocky Top and it was the embodiment of Florida Keys diving. Warm, clear, and sun filled water. The boat was clean, organized, and spacious. Too many charters operate a cattle boat, this is not a cattle boat charter. Rinse tanks and dive masters were available to assist before and after the dive.

Came down from NY with 2 friends who recommended getting certified at Islamorada Dive Center. I am so glad I joined my friends because I had an amazing experience getting certified there. Claire, my instructor, was incredible patient, didn’t rush me, but still pushed me to succeed. It was the perfect combination and was very much appreciated. Bob, our boat Captain, took us to amazing dive sites and was just overall a really friendly guy. In fact, the entire crew at Islamorada Dive Center including Sophia and Sienna were incredibly warm and welcoming. They made my experience so enjoyable and fun and I will be back there as soon as possible.
