I know I’m going to be happy when I sit down at a Mexican restaurant and am greeted by some delicious salsa and chips.
The restaurant was packed, but we still got our food quickly. Every dish was fantastic. The Sea Bass was especially spectacular. The shrimp ceviche was fresh and tasty (and I would expect nothing less, given the area). I was really craving Mexican food that day and I was not at all disappointed.
The ambience was great, too. Our dining room had nice big windows which let in a lot of natural light. The bar has these beautiful murals which were lovely to see.
Several servers and even the manager/owner (not sure which one) approached us serval times to make sure everything was alright. It’s difficult to find a place with such attentive staff— especially in a seasonal/tourist town— so that was a nice bonus.
I’ll be back!
This restaurant was one of my favorite surprises in Fernandina Beach Florida. The food is outstanding! The presentation alone is worth the trip. The cocktails are one of a kind very unique, and the food here is like no other Mexican restaurant you will ever go to. It is so elevated. The prices are wonderful for what you are getting, I have taken several friends at different times to this restaurant, and everyone is equally as impressed! Be sure to order the corn rib, appetizer worth it! And check out the cheese pull in my photo from the stuffed poblano pepper you won't want to miss that one eitherif I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would.
First time eating here, and it was amazing! You definitely get to experience the true flavors of Oaxaca. From the drinks to the appetizers and traditional entrees. Everything was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend checking this place out. Can't wait to go back!
Are there more than 5 stars? This restaurant is one of the few in Florida with authentic Mexican flavor and ambient. I have been to Mexico and tasted Monterrey, CDMX, Puebla, and many other cities restaurant foods and drinks and really missed that authenticity. Mezcal has all of that and more. Well done! PABLO and staff.
Had a fantastic dinner here. Definitely a more higher end Latin food, similar dishes as you would expect but with a slight twist. Great drink menu as well, some very good mixed drinks. Had the chili relleno and it was delicious. My wife had the seafood pablano rice which she loved. Portions are very good. Only slight down side was we sat in a side room that felt like an enclosed porch and it was quite noisy. But service and food were great.
