The Surf Restaurant & Bar

We ate outside, which was great. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was really good. I had grilled shrimp, yummy. My sister had grilled grouper. Everything was great . I would eat there again

TLDR: Great atmosphere, Good Food, Dog Friendly! Repeat customer!

The surf has a great outdoor seating area that is dog friendly and very spacious. Big plus that it is dog friendly.

The servers do provide water bowls (with water) for your canine friends. Service overall is good for how busy it can get.

I have eaten here a few times so I will try to do a fair review of all the food I have had here so far.

Blackened Shrimp Basket: 4.5/5 - Well seasoned cajun style, came with 9 shrimp and a decent portion of waffle fries.

Brunswick Stew: 3/5 - Just tasted very bland.

Fish and Chips: 5/5 - Simple, Large portion using beer battered cod. Very good.

Nachos: 4/5 - Pretty good, but the very large portion makes up for any deficiencies. Definitely share this with someone.

Spiced Pimento Cheese Dip: 5/5 - If you like pimento cheese, this is for you.

Fresh Catch Sandwich: 5/5 - Fresh fish with great seasoning and simple toppings that do not overpower the fish.

Not sure why this ask hotel questions but anyway, the service was quick. Staff was friendly. We were a little early so it wasn't crowded at all. The shrimp and pesto flatbread was good, not great but not really any complaints. The ahi tuna with the rice was good as well. Only real complaint I have is that the plate they gave me to put my appetizer on had some old food on the bottom that noticed when I help my plate over for someone to the food on it. That's kinda nasty......

Honestly, we entered with low expectations for food quality. After all it's a big place with tons of customers. Very casual. We expected sports bar quality food. We were time limited, and expressed this to our server. Our food was at the table in under ten minutes and was fresh and delicious. We were very satisfied, and glad we chose this restaurant. Highly recommend
