Amazing experience for the whole family! Florida's best in person wild life excursion!
All the gators! There was a beautiful scenic drive around the park that lasts a few hours. Highly recommend. Lots of beautiful birds that were fun to watch as well. Great peaceful trip to see Florida native wildlife
Great trail area around Lake Apopka. We've done the Wildlife Drive and also rode the trails on bikes. Always see tons of gators, lots of birds and ducks, and even a family of raccoons. Great place!
What an enjoyable visit! Blue skies, nice drive, tons of fowl and gators, and a steady light breeze to keep everything cool! Around the pump house were at least 4 gators, some you easily walk right up to. And the view across the lake was clear and spectacular! I loved the blue water reflections against the greens and yellows of the marsh grasses, with hidden birds here and there... I highly recommend it!
Great conservation work going on - great audio guide you can pull up on your phone. Two areas with port-a-potties that were relatively clean. Be prepared to spend at least an hour+ even if it isn’t too busy; lots of people stopping along the one-way, single-lane road from birders to photographers to gator watchers. Gorgeous views throughout, and really just a ton of wildlife to see! Be sure to check out the information boards at some of the stop points. The one by the big pump house was really neat.
