Canoe Creek Service Plaza

Get gas for your car and food to eat with just one stop. Several food options from which to choose. Plaza was a bit crowded due to many travelers for the holiday season. Fair warning: there are no public restrooms at this plaza.

After a major hurricane Ian stopped here this morning to get breakfast only place open in miles. Happy to see people at work with a smile. I ate Wendy’s breakfast which was absolutely delicious and the cashier can’t remember her name but she was completely tatted with tattoos on her face went out of her way to help me with directions to Orlando using an alternate route in case the turnpike was closed because we heard it was closed last night. All I could say is there are still amazing people in this world. Safe clean rest stop

Located at mile marker 229, the Canoe Creek Plaza is in St. Cloud. I usually make it as far as the Canoe Plaza before leaving the Turnpike for the theme parks or to visit my daughter in Winter Park. This rest stop has both north and south bound entrances.

Food options here include vending machines, Dunkin Donuts, KFC, Nathans, Nature's Table, Villa Pizza, and Wendy's. There is the typical Sunshine Market where you can pick up your sundries. Of course there are restrooms which is why you likely stopped as well as a picnic area. You can stock up on your tourist brochures which every kid likes to do in anticipation of fun destinations on a road trip. There is also Shell gas to refuel your vehicle and a Tesla charging station.

This is a typical Turnpike rest stop meaning it is a great place to stretch your legs, visit the bathroom, grab some coffee or grub, and gas and be on your way to better places in Florida.

Spacious, clean rest area. Plenty of restaurants to grab a quick bite. You can get coffee in Dunkin Donuts.

Over all very nice service plaza.

it has several options to get food or refreshments, a little gift shop, and clean restrooms. the location feels safe. there is a large gas station with reasonable gas prices, although it was quite a wait to get gas. I didn't see much grass for my dog to do her business in though. if the humans need to use the restroom this think the dogs need an opportunity as well.
