“Great biking trail, but no shade cover. Has some lookout points! Lots of wildlife to observe, and bird watching is a must here. There's also a boat ramp where you could put in a small kayak or Canoe and paddle along the water. Heard lots of gator noises, but did not see any.”

“Absolutely the best place for any eye problem. After having complications after a different surgeon did cataract and lens replacement and couldn't help me, Dr Smiddy and Dr Obrien saved my eye and sight. Cant say enough great things about these doctors and staff. When i had an emergency they called and squeezed me in to get seen. Best place hands down ever”

“This is the cleanest Pollo Tropical I've ever seen. It isn't too busy and the staff was great. Can't ask for much more than that.”

“My father had an artificial eye since a childhood accident at six years-of-age. (Fortunately, he lived a great life — very intelligent, worked as an SES at the Pentagon, went on to marry (my mom) and had two daughters. ) As he got older, his “good” eye was showing signs of age-related degeneration — macular degeneration, partial detached retina...) At 80, his quality of life was diminishing. (But, besides his vision issues, he was in phenomenal shape — golf, tennis swimming every day. Mentally, he was an avid bridge player and a mathematical genius. He was also a caregiver for my disabled mother.) The final straw was when he failed the eye test required to receive his driver’s license. He became very depressed. He contacted his regular eye doctor, Dr. Katz — who has always treated dad with skill, compassion and honesty. Most opthomolgist surgeons didn’t consider dad to be good candidate for surgery. Dr. Katz was aware of dad’s baseline physical condition and didn’t completely rule surgery out. But* because it was so critical — and a huge risk, if the surgery wasn’t successful he would be blind — he recommended Dr. Jill Rodila. He said she’s a gifted eye surgeon. The surgery was a resounding success. (She happens to be a woman of great faith, which took my dad a little by surprise, considering he’d always been agnostic, culturally Jewish man.) She said a short prayer before surgery. After surgery my dad was a believer! It truly felt like a miracle. It is my belief that because of Dr. Jill Rodila dad lived many more years, with a renewed enthusiasm for life. Although he ultimately succumbed to lung cancer - he had been a smoker many years ago — it is my belief that Dr. Rodila — with a little help from above, perhaps! — gave him many more quality years and our family is forever grateful to Dr. Rodila. Thank you, Mindy Wenkert”
