“I found my interaction with Dr. Kerpsack to be excellent; he looked over and treated my daughter for a very minor elbow injury. He was thorough, descriptive, and direct. I have no issues with his bedside manner or care. However, the Palm Beach Orthopedic Institute that he works for unfortunately employs the dubious practice of surprising and ambushing a new patient with a legal arbitration waiver that you “must sign” in order to receive care. This form is separate from their fancy iPad check-in process. This is a poor time to try to get your patients to sign some of their rights of legal redress away while protecting your doctors and practice when you have an acute injury that needs to be treated. Quite frankly it should be illegal. I’d be happy to visit Dr. Kerpsack again under different circumstances or with a different medical group. Otherwise we will not be returning to the Palm Beach Orthopedic Institute.”
