Winn-Dixie

This Winn Dixie beats all others in my area. Very clean, neat, and orderly. Friendly employees. They have an amazing hot food bar that is pay-by-the-pound ($7.99 per lb.) with a very large variety of hot foods/meals. You could actually eat a full weeks worth of dinners, right from the hot bar.

Clean and orderly store. The staff was friendly. Loved that they had enough registers open I was able to get in and out with ease. The shelves were well stocked so I was able to get everything I needed although I did not need fresh fruits or veggies this trip I did look in that section as it was my first time at this location. They had a great looking selection filled with a fresh variety. I will be back.

Requested some sliced roast beef at the deli. Wanted it a certain thickness. Karla sliced a piece, showed me the piece & with a great smile asked if that was okay. I requested 2 lbs in separate packages & with that great smile & a bit of humorous interaction she took care of the order in a few minutes. These are the unsung type of workers that keep us coming back to WD.
On the other side of the coin was the service desk person's response to an ad for shrimp that left us with no shrimp to be found. Asked if she could get someone in the meat dept. Her response was total indifference. Finally got a manager who satisfied our request.

It has been a very long time since I last shopped at a Winn-Dixie. At first, I was very apprehensive about shopping there again because my memories of it were not bad, per se, just nothing to get excited about.

However, I must say I am glad that I caved and tried it out. Winn-Dixie has evolved quite a lot over the years and this store was an excellent representation of that fact.

The store is very clean, well-lit, and has an easy-to-navigate layout. They have a great selection and competitive prices against even the master price low-balling, Wal-Mart. They are cheaper than Publix on average as well. I will definitely start shopping here more often!👍👍
