Inn on the Gulf Restaurant

Pleasantly surprised with an early bird special. Beer was good and cold. Grilled grouper was delicious. Coconut shrimp fried to perfection. The captain’s platter at the next table looked enviable! Serving size was plenty. Sides were just right. Service was great. Sat on the porch and enjoyed the late afternoon. Overall- solid 4 stars

A little pricey for my taste but it was a great experience over all. Had to make reservations which was convenient considering the warm weather and a Friday evening. I had the Live Maine Lobster ($$$$$) and my daughter had the snow crab legs. Both were cooked to perfection. Kudos to the Chef! The bread was warm and soft, the crab cakes were too much to eat as an appetizer so be careful on what you choose to eat afterwards because it’s very filling. The atmosphere was good. The wait staff was friendly and courteous. Will definitely go back but not for the lobster lol because it’s too pricey. Food, drinks (iced teas) appetizer & tip (20%) totaled $152

My first time eating here and I was impressed. They have a nice menu that can suit just about anyone's taste.
Dominique was our server and even though she had several other tables, she never failed to check on us. Perfectly paced meal with personable and fun service.

This place was amazing. We visited Florida from Wyoming last weekend to attend a friends wedding. . I am originally from Hudson, FL. My Grandpa Ballentine used to play the organ at this place years ago. He passed away in 1976 and I had not eaten at this place since he was alive. I come to the Inn On The Gulf every time I come to Hudson to see the big tuna mounted in the entrance. I come to see the tuna because my Uncle Art helped catch it. Every time I come I have never eaten at this place because I thought it was an “old” restaurant. My husband and I came with my Dad to eat early dinner last Friday night. I don’t know why we decided to eat here but it was one of the best decisions I have ever made when it comes to dining out! I had scallop scampi at the suggestion of the server. It was the best thing ever! I have since tried scampi at 4 other places (in a week) trying to find something comparable and I have come up empty! My husband had the red clam chowder and the grouper. He was in heaven.
I cannot wait until I visit again as this will be the regular spot to eat at!

This restaurant has amazing food. The three of us had different types of seafood offerings. Every one was fantastic. Really fresh seafood. Great service. Wonderful view. We will return and tell our friends about it.
