Oakstead Elementary School

I have had 3 children at this school. The school is wonderful from administration to teachers. They work as a team academically and plan great events for the students. Overall professional and an atmosphere of encouragement.

We've just been there for 6 months but so far it's all good. My son is happier than in previous schools and he says it's his favorite. The atmosphere is very "outdoorsy" as he says and academically it's completely different from Hillsborough county but I feel more competitive (my son struggled in the beginning cause of all the technology and math work). Teacher responded to every email within less than two hours and communication has been EXCELLENT. Mr Simmons in 4th grade has been amazing. This school is usually underestimated by parents outside of the school zone. Once you are in there, it's all great.

My daughter goes to this school and has been going there for last 2 years, so far the experience has been really good. The teachers seem to take time to understand my kid and help and guide her as needed.
