I love walking and cycling at this park for decades I see turtles and deer most every time. Rangers are always friendly and helpful
We hiked the green trail with our two little dogs. Down to the river. We all loved it! It's the time of year for yellow flies and ticks. Bring repellant. Beautiful area, will definitely be back as regulars.
I must have gone the wrong way or didn't stay long enough because I mostly saw bike trails and bike trails and more bike trails. I'll look for the hiking trail next time I go.
Beautiful, serene, and clean park, many toilets at different stops and surprisingly clean.
Spotted a gopher tortoise outside its burrow then it went inside and also saw the three deer! Those were highlights of my short 1hr visit to the park.
I'll have to go back and explore more.
A great place to start a ride. Parking, restrooms, a picnic pavilion, and a drinking water fountain can be found here. The entire main paved bike trail is well signed and is 6.5 miles long, with many side paths along the way that are not as well maintained. There are no facilities or water along the trail, so be prepared. I rode on a cloudy day so it was pleasant but there is little to no shade along the entire trail.
This place is great. MTB trails are well marked, but take a picture of the trail map before you enter for some extra help with navigation. The MTB trails intersect with other main and paved trails if you want to end your ride soon. Don't expect jumps or crazzy stuff, but do expect to enjoy yourself. Also bring plenty of water and snacks as you could easily spend the better part of a day here.
