Owaza Ryu Ju-Jitsu / Judo

Jim and a staff member came out to Vincent House Hernando and donated their time. This experience was amazing. Jim was very attentive and showed our members amazing skills. He was very patient and kind with our members. This was an amazing donation to the community that was truly appreciated.

Sensei Jim Rivera and one of his Asst. Instructors gave a free Cane Self-Defense seminar for my sewing group at church. Sensei Rivera was very informative and provided the group with some very useful insight on using a cane as a defensive weapon. I want to thank Sensei and Owaza Ryu Ju-jitsu again for taking the time to provide a useful service to our community.

Sensei Jim is great. School is very clean. Best price in town. He's very caring with the kids. My kids love it. Been here almost 2 years.

After 10 years of not stepping in to a dojo, I went and visited to get back into judo. I was welcomed with open arms and had a great session. Very much appreciated. I am sore. I am humbled. But I feel whole. I was not made to feel belittled whatsoever at my loss of knowledge over the years. This is a wonderful place full of years of experience and knowledge. Sensei Rivera is a wonderful and patient instructor.

Owaza is a fantastic place to study and train in self defense and martial arts. It consists of like minded people who come to become physically and mentally fit. A place to learn new skills and hone and perfect existing ones. A place to learn confidence. It’s a place to come to so when push comes to shove you can defend yourself. I joined for myself, and now my wife and kids come to learn. Sensei Jim Rivera is a master to learn from. I can’t say enough about this incredible man. In closing I’m glad to of found him and thankful for Owaza.
