Fantastic evening all around. From the staff that greets you to the waitress (Cindy your an all star) to the food to the bus team. Every thing was top notch. If you sit outside the view is amazing. Adjacent to the Marriott and several beech shops. Food was delicious as well. A pretty decent wine and alcohol selection. They offer a variety of Spanish and Cuban cuisine. Food took a bit long to come out but it was worth it. Deserts are all freshly made on premises. If you do sit outside on the patio or the porch the tables do not have tablecloths. Inside tables are a bit more fancy. But my party preferred the view outside.
Definitely will return next time I am in Sand Key. Bravo Columbia!!!
Love the Columbia atmosphere! Friendly staff and tasty Spanish food. It's very laid back, so plan to relax and not be rushed - usually an hour and a half meal. 1905 salad fresh-tossed at the table. Spanish bean soup is delicious - get the bowl, not the cup!
Amazing food, great dinner companions, beautiful scenery. Our server was pleasant, yet slow. We requested refills on our sodas and didn't receive them after we were finished with our meal. He did refill our water glasses multiple times. It's the little things🙂 We did have a very nice view of the water. The rest of the staff was friendly and professional.
This was an incredible experience. 5 stars for flavor and generous portion sizes. I will give you fair warning, you will walk out with leftovers. We tried the black bean cakes as a starter, and they are perfect in every way. Crispy, warm, soft center, lovely flavor. It comes with sour cream and guacamole and it only adds. I had the salad which was bold and fresh, swimming in flavor. Wife had the black bean soup which was more just black beans on rice in a cup. Still quite tasty. Also (not pictured) was the Cuban bread and butter, which was light and warm.
Honestly, we should have stopped here and been very satisfied. Wife had the eggplant which had a very nice flavor and crispy breading. It came with two portions, but one would be enough. The beef was tender and well adorned with peppers and onions. It came with rice and plantains. I actually thought these were the best plantains I’ve ever had.
In short, if you haven’t eaten here, you should.
What a great way to start the Mother’s Day weekend festivities. The food was great and the service was even better. Our server, Carlos M, was a delight. He made sure that we were well taken care of during our late lunch/early dinner. One of the highlights was the Spanish Bean soup, which we always love. I highly recommend this restaurant for celebrating special occasions.
