My husband and I had been with our carrier for several years and assumed we had the best rate, they did when we first got it, but now we know, things have changed. I have long suspected that due to my and my husband's perfect driving records, we were paying too much. I was right. I went online to search for lower rates. Within minutes, I was on the phone with a very vibrant and friendly lady named Dana. She asked me what I was looking for and I told her "a better deal". Then she asked me some routine questions and I explained our situation to her. I've had 2 strokes and my husband is a disabled war veteran. After she thanked my husband for his service, I told her that the VA takes good care of him, and even our pets (emotional support animals), but not me. She agreed with me, that wasn't fair. I told her that my inability to work and not being able to get any kind of medical care help, meant that my medical bills are all paid out of his disability check, so I've made it a full time job to save him money whenever I can. She really impressed me when she took the time and listened to me talk, like a good friend or your mom would. She seemed genuinely interested in what I call my "sad old story". What struck me most, was her ability to put me at ease. That's not an easy thing to do. She gave me a shoulder to cry on and a hand to hold, over the phone. That meant the world to me in these crazy times. I've always been a skeptic, especially when buying an intangible over the phone from someone I've never met. But from the minute we began speaking, she felt like a friend. She just had the kind of personality that I could relate to. After she put all of our info in her computer, she gave me a quote that was 1/3 of what we were currently paying. I told her that our car is financed so it had to have full coverage. She said that the policy was exactly the same as our old one, but 2/3 less expensive. I couldn't believe it! I felt insulted by our old company. If Allstate can give us that policy for $X, then surely, Geico could too, they just didn't want to. I was very nervous about canceling my old policy because it's always a hassle and usually a battle. Dana set up a 3 way call, so when I called to cancel and they started that bombardment, Dana spoke right up and asked for permission to speak on my behalf. I said YES and she shut them down, quick! I would've never made it through that phone call without her. She even took the time to walk me through how to use my computer, which I hadn't used in a few years just so I could set up direct payments. In short, Dana took (what was for us) a difficult situation and made it super easy. She even gave me her personal cell phone # JIC. She's awesome. A real go getter!
I changed my Auto, Home and Flood (content only) to All State and Jimmy helped me to get awesome coverage and less premium compare to what i was paying before. Jimmy's team member Miriam was very helpful in all that process. Previously I had not good luck in getting flood insurance for my house content from other insurance provider but Jimmy's team member Miriam made it possible. Today also if i have any question i get response in no time. I appreciate their professionalism and customer focus business value. I highly recommend them for insurance need.
