Words cannot properly express my gratitude to Bayou Gardens Dunedin for their care of my first cousin (I am also her Medical Power of Attorney). The first thing you will want to know about BG is that, for the director, managing this facility is a matter of the heart. They go the extra mile. Bayou Gardens Dunedin provides a limited number of Medicaid beds and my cousin is a Medicaid recipient, and was very, very fortunate to be given one. She was not paying the full price, but she did not get less attention. Just the opposite. The facility is very nice. One thing I loved about this place is that (before COVID), the residents went on an outing once a month. It might have been to a movie and the food court, or to the beach, or who knows! Also, depending on what your insurance is, they have access to great doctors. There were several occasions when my cousin needed a short stay in the hospital for one medical issue or another. Over these times, more than one hospital social worker told me how fortunate my cousin was to be in a BG facility. They were telling me something I already knew. Thank you, Bayou Gardens Dunedin!
We had to put my Mom at 90 in a assisted living facility in August. I had heard a lot of not so good stories about these kinds of places. The staff at Bayou Gardens has been nothing short of amazing with my Mom and me. My Mom has had a few dementia issues as of late and Allie, Henrietta, Elise, and others have been great! One staff member actually noticed Mom having a not so good day and took her out for a car ride! Keep it up Bayou Gardens!
Hello everyone,
My mother has been a resident of Bayou Gardens Dunedin for 2 years.
She is happy there and so do I.
I visit her very frequently. I say hello, wave and converse with some of their residents. They seem happy and I haven't heard anyone complaining about the facility. My mother feels like she is part of a big wonderful family.
The management and the staff are super amazing. They are sweet, kind, compassionate, respectful, hard workers, efficient and very helpful. They do take the time to get to know the residents and what are their needs. It is very easy to talk to the staff if you should have any questions or concerns.
As soon as you walk in the building you can feel the love, respect and commitment of the staff that it makes you feel that this is the perfect place for your loved one to live.
They are taking care of my precious mother and that gives me peace of mind. I do trust them 100% .
I would recommend Bayou Gardens Dunedin for the care of your loved one. They are great!
My humble thank you to the staff ! God bless you all!
My 93 year old mother was at Bayou Gardens and I can't say enough good things about them. The care my mother received was exceptional. They were very attentive to her needs, and very patient and compassionate, and believe me, my mother could be very difficult at times as her dementia progressed and her Sicilian anger kicked in. She needed constant care and the staff always had her close by. Mom was always clean and well dressed and fed. Carrie, Bev, and all the staff are top notch and the best! They were always there for us and made a difficult situation so much better. The facilities are clean and sanitary, and the food and menu are outstanding! So glad we found Bayou Gardens. I would highly recommend them and would not hesitate to do so!
