Excellent local stop that we enjoyed during a drive along the beach. My wife and I shared the Tampa Cuban (see picture), enjoyed it and found it to be more than enough for both of us as we weren't that hungry. My parents ordered the Reuben Cuban (see picture) and Chicken Cuban (see picture) and enjoyed both of them...just found it to be more than they wanted to eat for a light lunch.

As the pictures show, this place isn't all that fancy, but the Cuban sandwiches were served quickly and were very good. Best of all, there was a good selection of ice cream to enjoy with your meal. I sampled the Espresso with chocolate before the meal came and loved it! If you are looking for a quick stop to eat you will enjoy this place.

If you’ve never been to the @kookycoconutcafe you really have to make a step. Located one block away from the beach in Indian Rocks beach this is the perfect place to stop for a scoop of ice cream before heading to the beach to watch the sunset. All their ice creams are locally sourced form Sarasota and delicious! They also carry food items such as walking tacos, Cuban sandwiches, hot dogs, tacos and a few other items. There hot and iced coffee, and aguas frescos as well as your usual array of sodas. A small souvenir store also located within. There is free parking on site but for the creamery only not for the beach. Let me know what you think when you stop by what kind of ice cream will you have?

I stumbled upon this place driving by. I saw the tacos sign and had to stop.
The tacos are standard American fare. So keep those expectations. They are well cooked and delicious, regardless.
What stood out for me tho was the hospitality. I was “ that customer”. That came in before closing. It was on my part. Completely unintentional.
They however were very kind. And did not rush me. Even after I finished my food and beer. They asked if I would like some ice cream.
I recommend this spot. For their customer service alone.

Their affogato (espresso poured over ice cream) was probably the best I’ve ever had. We also tried their fresh coconut water and Cuban sandwich which were also good. Small mom and pop shop - may take a minute to get food but worth it. Next to public beach access. Surf and then get some eats. 🤙🏻🏄‍♂️🌊

I saw it said Cuban on the window, so I took a chance. Absolutely the best I’ve had. Everything was nice and hot, no cold spots. And I thumped the bread. Pressed perfectly. My Wife’s Avacodo was great too.
