I am writing this on behalf of a good friend of mine who just finished his treatment there. He said he had the best experience with the entire office. From the moment he walked in the front door and was greeted with a huge smile and then he got to meet Dr. Rost. He was always upfront and honest with us about his condition. The girls who were doing the treatments were always so nice. He is now finished and doing so much better. I am so glad he found this office for his cancer.
It has been over due this post. I was treated by Dr: Rost, and his wonderful staff for prostate cancer stared in mid November and ended on January 14 2022.
During the whole treatment they showed me compassion with smile everyday 45 days in total.
I feel the treatment was painless and pleasant. God bless them in all they do!
When someone receives a diagnosis of the big “C” I can assure you it’s a scary thing! The unknown, will I get better, what’s my treatment going to be like!? Is it painful and of course will the doctors and staff look at me as just another patient among many? Well let me say in the most emphatic way, NOT AT TAMPA BAY ONCOLOGY! This staff and doctors were the most professional, uplifting and treated me like I was a part of their family! I can honestly say I actually looked forward to my daily visit. If you happened to be down, they just had a way of making you feel better. I never left my daily treatment without a smile on my face! I know I can never truly express my gratitude for the way they treated me!
My brother was fortunate enough to be recommended ( and insurance authorized ) to Tampa Bay Oncology Center and Eric C. Rost, MD specifically by my brother's Primary Care Physician.
Anytime a patient is going to a new Doctor there will be apprehension as to the level of care they will receive. We were no different. Checking off a few things that made a HUGE difference in creating a comfort zone for us is as followed
1. The Nurses walked my brother and I through the exams reports, the x-rays, scans and the reports of all the physicians involved who came into play that got us to the place we were in now. Additionally the nurses answered any and all questions we had regarding ANYTHING that that was involved in the process.
2.Prior to the treatment, the staff literally walked us through the upcoming procedure, the treatment room that my brother would be going to and how ( in laymen terms) the treatments work's .
3. Introduction to Dr. Rost: What a GREAT guy, Clearly an intelligent professional who ( again ) makes sure ALL questions are answered and he goes beyond that. He gave us HIS opinion of treatment options in a no-nonesense way . My brother and I left feeling confident and informed. Dr. Rost was a man you would WANT as your doctor and be very fortunate to be his friend.
4. The staff: No one WANTS to go in for any type of medical treatment.. EVER. The staff is VERY well aware of this and made my brother and myself feel great about each treatment. Since the COVID-CRAZINESS, the staff at Tampa Bay Oncology Center has stepped up their game. Obvious the new procedures that are put into play can not be an easy daily task.. but you would never know that. Those guys and gals make you feel SO good about coming in and the decisions we have made.. I can not thank them enough.
If anyone is needing treatment of this kind, ask your Primary Care Doctor about Tampa Bay Oncology Center. You will not regret it at all.
Kind,caring and healing. Highly recommend
