I went last weekend for the first time in over 20 years and my how it has changed. What a great way to spend an afternoon, browsing all the local shops, and bars and restaurants, got the urge to catch dinner on a local fishing boat? rent a wave runner? take a sunset cruise? This is the place, there is lots to experience, My only issue was parking, you had to pay to park and it is not cheap, and is strictly enforced, we got distracted and were 10 mins late and had a parking ticket waiting on our car. $25 Poof! The only bummer to the day. Nice ice cream shops, taffy shops, gift shops, jewelry shops, ton's of restaurants/bars. A great way to spend a lazy day to chill out, it's touristy, but it's to be expected. You can get better prices on the same stuff elsewhere, I got to say honestly, it felt a bit like key west down there. I'm local, lived here off and on for 30 years of my life and only been down there once, prior to last week, I'll definitely be taking my wife back for a day of shopping, drinks and eats.
