Ozona Blue Grilling Co

My husband and I were looking for a place to celebrate some good health news I had received that day and a few of his coworkers recommended Ozona's. We didn't have reservations but they took us right in anyways. It's a beautiful place. Very nice inside and the atmosphere was busy and loud but also sort of romantic. The lighting was dim to give off the romantic feel. I thought it odd that a restaurant would have a pool but they cater events. ( There was a wedding taking place while we were there so we didn't sit outside). Our server was nice and answered any questions we had. I had never had duck before and didn't know you could order it medium rare. But I ordered the duck with risotto. The risotto was really the only reason I ordered the dish. My husband ordered the prime rib dinner. My duck was good but a little dry, loved the sauce they use to glaze it with. But my risotto was way over cooked and had started to taste mushy and slimy. I also wish they had offered some table bread but they don't. My husband's prime rib was tough. Usually prime rib is very tender. And it had very little taste. Out of both of our meals, the mashed potatoes tasted the best. We didn't complain because the place was so busy. Instead, after a couple bites, we decided to box it up and head home. I thought maybe I could doctor the meal from home. Instead we fed most of it to our dogs. They loved it. We loved the atmosphere and again our server was very nice. We will give this place a other try because of the atmosphere and we want to try their seafood. The table beside us ordered a fried seafood platter and it looked amazing. So we will go back to try that.

Very beautiful setup by the marina. Weather is perfect today for sitting at a table under the tent. Everybody on staff seems to be friendly and helpful. We arrived at about 2 pm, and the place is not too busy. Scott our server is pleasant and professional. We both have grouper, which is fresh and flavorful. A fantastic experience.

You won't be disappointed with the blackened grouper, and the garlic mashed potatoes are amazing. The calamari was light and crispy and the oysters Rockefeller were enormous and tasty. Great spot for a night out.

First time at Ozona Blue. Got seated right away even if it was very busy. It looks like kids had a lot of fun by the pool (free to use). Great frozen cocktails. We tried several small dishes like seared tuna, spicy shrimp, oysters Rockefeller, all of which were delicious. Salmon rolls, grouper, and fish and chips were also great. Finished off with a lava cake. If you like a busy loud place with lots of people watching, it's perfect. If you're looking for a quiet dining experience, it's not the place for you, at least not on a weekend during spring break.
