Desiree helped do some alterations on my wedding dress and did a fantastic job. She added cups and made a bustle. I drove over an hour to her each way and it was worth it. I trusted her 100% to help fix my wedding dress and she did!

Desiree was amazing! I got my wedding dress altered and she is a complete pro. Her studio is very clean and she is warm and inviting. She really knows her craft and she did great work on my dress for a great price as well. She was open to feedback and always made sure I was happy with her alterations. Desiree made all my dress dreams come true. TL;DR Desiree is a skilled seamstress and designer who worked faster than anyone I’ve ever seen to create something beautiful and IMO complex for my wedding day, 10/10 would recommend.

I think something Desiree has that I had a hard time finding was someone who understood my vision to combine a traditional Chinese style cheongsam silhouette with a modern lace appliqué design. At the time it felt like a bit of a risk knowing that I was asking Desiree to create a style that culturally was going to be new for her, but I chose to trust her creative input and, in the end, was so grateful for her guidance and expertise.

We found Desiree at what felt like the last minute and showed her photos of what I was looking for. She sketched the most adorable mock up and we decided to give it a go. We only had 2.5 months until the wedding so I met with Desiree weekly for measurements and tweaks to the design and style. I’ve never had a garment custom made for me and honestly I had a hard time envisioning what the final product would look like throughout the process. At the last few fittings all the lace and embroidery were coming together and the dress was more fitted to my figure and I was speechless, absolutely floored at how amazing the dress she put together was. It was better than what I originally had in mind and, of course getting married to my husband was the best part of my wedding day, but also, it was the dress.

I ended up wearing an off the rack dress as well and Desiree worked hard to make it actually fit me well. We changed the design of the sleeves, something that a seamstress my family has been going to for years told me was “impossible” because of the type of satin it was. Desiree pulled it off no problem and I was thrilled. I went from a crisis with no dress to two beautiful gowns custom made for me. Knowing what I know now, I would have travelled across the country for her to make my dress. It's a little scary to commit your wedding dress budget to something you can't technically see or try on yet, and actually you won't see the finished product for a while, but she’s the absolute best. My only regret is that I don’t have the budget for Desiree to custom make an outfit for every life event I will have in the future.

I used Desiree Marie Design to get my wedding dress altered and it was a wonderful experience! My sleeves on my dress were too tight and I had to get more material added to them. I also had bust cup added too and help so much to keep them in place! Lastly I got my dress bustled. The dress turned out beautiful! Desiree did a wonderful job making it perfect! I will definitely be coming back for any alterations I need and I HIGHLY recommend coming here first.

I cannot thank Desiree enough for making me look freaking fabulous on my wedding day! I originally found a black dress from Brandon Maxwell, but unfortunately the design never made it to production and it was very difficult to find a black wedding dress in stores and online. After searching frantically via Yelp and Google, I found Desiree Marie Design when she was still located in Austin. We chatted via email and she was so on point that before I sent her the specs for the dress, she already knew exactly what the material was. I knew then that she was gifted. During our initial meeting, Desiree took all of my measurements as well as offered a few suggestions on switching up the style and the end result was drop dead perfect! I have received a million compliments on my dress and I will always be grateful that we had a chance to meet before she left Austin.
