I am very happy that I traveled from Missouri to Florida so that I could train with KingSky! I truly feel like I left with a great training experience, and friendship’s I hope to maintain! I did have a few setbacks during training i.e. weather and some unscheduled maintenance; But the school worked with me and my super tight deadline to get me out when I needed to.
The Owner and the management of the school are very personable and have a genuine interest in maintaining a first rate school and training experience. During a maintenance issue with the Multiengine the owner Isaac was authorizing very high part and shipping expenses and the Operations Manager Lance was putting a ton of hustle into getting me paired back up with an instructor and was also looking at renting a plane for me to train in, while the school’s plane was in maintenance.
The Operations staff was very helpful and professional, you will always get an email daily when you have flown with a detailed invoice of charges. Operations also sends out an email ever night to remind the next day’s students who is flying and when, you can also just log onto the online schedule and check for the week on your own. Mikayla, Daniel, And Saul are first rate people to work with and Mikayla is probably one of the happiest and most pleasant people I have ever met!
The Chief Pilot Lucas is the epitome of a true professional and an absolute first rate pilot and instructor! You can expect a very honest and fair assessment of your performance and progress with him. Lucas will also put great efforts into your individual training to include extra odd and late hours to ensure your training and program success.
The instructors I worked / trained with were all also great! I started with Levi to finish up instruments with and was very impressed with his knowledge base and instructing ability. I next flew with Nick who has been a CFI in the area for quite some time and showed me a lot of cool places while we flew the Arrow for complex time. The last instructor I had the pleasure to train with was Anthony. Anthony is a retired Marine F-18 NFO with solid nerves and confidant demeanor that very much appreciated during some unhospitable weather situations! Anthony’s instruction technique is great, and I really enjoyed training on the Multi with him!
The aircraft are well maintained, and when a maintenance issue did arise I witnessed a true interest in getting the aircraft fixed and returned to a full up status quickly. The DPEs that came to the school all had a reputation of being very fair and Chuck Brown worked with me and my schedule changes well beyond what he had to!
Pros:
1. Great Training environment and Instructors
2. Well maintained aircraft and facilities
3. Very Nice housing that is inexpensive
3.1 (Bonus) Fantastic area to fly and train in, with unlimited places to go see and explore; both in air and from the ground.
Cons:
1. Airport is under construction and has 3 flight schools operations, causing some delays for takeoff and recovery periods.
2. School is very busy, and you might have to wait a bit to get in, also if you are on a condensed schedule make sure it is understood and worked out before showing up.
3. There is a high demand for the aircraft and instructors, if you are not proactive in getting on the schedule you can guarantee someone will fill up the time.
I attended this flight academy through Liberty University using the post 911 GI Bill. The process was easy and streamlined. I had no problems with funding or accounting, and I also had no issues with the school keeping my expenses of buying more time, and personal renting of planes to go explore separate from what Liberty and the VA were covering, and I was also never double billed. I highly recommend this school and the Liberty University program that sent me to it!

The academy is very good, very well organized, aircraft with great conditions.
I made my ATP Multiengine training with the PA-34 EFIS.
The instructors were very attentive especially Lucas very professional, calm really an instructor 5 stars.
I recommend it to everyone.
Just completed my IFR checkride at Kingsky. They are very professional, safety focused and the planes are well maintained. So happy I chose them for my IFR training.
Kingsky Flight Academy treated me very well. I earned my instrument rating through them recently and I can not say enough about how well I was treated. When I ran up against financial difficulty, Kingsky stood by me. They did not have the attitude most flight schools do. Lance Kalil worked with me regarding the financial arrangements. Everyone at kingsky had the attitude "training first" the details we will work on. I was very lucky to have worked with such a supportive group. If you are looking for a school that prioritizes your training over your money, this is the place. They truly want you to succeed. They worked with me, Im sure they would be willing to work with you as well.
Fantastic flight school. Planes and are kept to a high standard. People are always there to help you if you do not know something. One of the best flight schools out there hands down.
