  I’ve known this place to have a really amazing food decent service and a great location but when I tell you I went there for we can surprise it was amazing hands-down the best thing there was our service from our waiter JOHN KINGSLEY. Reason I know his full name is because he gave me one of his cards but when I tell you the amazing service we received from beginning to end after being highly disappointed with just trying to stop by glory days was insanely crazy. Was very knowledgeable about the food suggestions from appetizer to dessert including drinks he was overly nice to my child who was just not having it and understood that sometimes you got to do some things a certain way at a certain pace to get them taken care of because they’re not your best guest and even when I wanted to move tables because a service dog in training showed up that I was just not gonna be able to enjoy my food he was more than accommodating. I think we enjoyed his service more than we enjoyed the food everything was amazing there we will definitely be back only because of him even if I did not enjoy the food I would be back because you don’t find that service anywhere ever and not once did we have any issues, because he paid Attention to our table to our drinks and then our demeanor and he was just a wonderful soul to talk to you thanks again to glory days for ruining the night but thank you Grill Smith for having someone like John on your team

  Chicken Milanese was perfect for lunch. Whoever is the cook lately for lunch is preparing better than they ever have. The chicken was perfect golden fried and not burnt bitter. That lemon sauce with capers and golden raisins came out great.

  Great ambiance, beautiful decor, very clean, and the food is fantastic. When the weather is nice we love to sit out on the porch with drinks on a Friday or Saturday evening and people watch. Ask for John....he is very attentive, fast to return with your request, and very witty.

  Outstanding steak. FL old fashioned is great as well. Very unique menu items, especially for appetizers! Great place to grab a good steak dinner without spending 50 bucks on a steak, especially in a town with not many choices. Nice atmosphere as well.

  Just when I thought I had seen the best busboys in the world, I come to Grillsmith of Lakeland and witness the elegance and grace of Josiah (last name unknown). He swiftly carried away each and every dish as if it weighed only an ounce. Like a phantom, he appeared for only a moment, and quickly vanished into the flurry of activity in the kitchen. Leaving behind a satisfied table with only the necessary dishes and flatware.
  
  If I could rate Josiah’s busboy effectiveness on a scale of 1 to 87, I’d give him a 745. It was that good.
  
  Who am I to rate a busboy so highly?
  
  Great question.
  
  I won the Busboy World Championships of 1987, 88, 92, and 94. I crushed that idiot, Steve, who thought he had it in the bag.
  
  Steve may have stolen my girlfriend and subsequently married her, but he can’t steal my championship rings.
  
  Anyways, Josiah is great. 5 stars.
