“Unfortunately several members of my family have been diagnosed with either ALZ or dementia over the last 10 years. As a result I've become familiar with with a large number of both ALF's and Memory Care Facilities in Polk County. During my crash course experience, I made use of the Elder Guide. It provided a good base of information. Since then I've added a few requirements of my own, whenever I enter a facility. When you tour a facility pay no attention to the chandeliers or other amenities. They only matter in your run of the mill senior living facilities -- where your loved one is still independent. Once care is required you need to pay attention to the residents and staff during your tour. This business of caring for adults that are no capable of using reasonable judgement is an exhausting task. Don't kid yourself, this is very hard work that requires that staff stay on their toes and on guard at all times. That said, BOTH Savannah Court and Savannah Cottage are fabulous. Does the staff appear happy and content? If not, realize that as much as YOU may like the place, once you leave ... your loved one picks up on that atmosphere. They are often not able to communicate that to you. Instead, their health declines more rapidly than you expected and they begin to act out. Does the director spend more time in their office than out and about? Does the director know the residents names? These are the things you should pay attention to. Don't allow things that look good in appearance distract you. Those things no longer matter. In this sad, last stage of life our focus is on the quality of life. Find a facility where they will feel loved and safe. This is Savannah Cottage.”

“Albert was able to fix my problem in 5 minutes. After 16 calls to 611 Customer Service and hours on the phone and 15 disconnections in the last 24 hours it was extremely relieving that he was able to get into the solution so quickly . Customer service at 611 definitely needs some help. All the want to do is reset the network and then the phone hangs up... not fixing the problem causing you to call back and repeat yourself 16 different times. If your needing help on your phone I would advise you just go to the corporate store and ask for Albert... HE knows what he's doing”

“They approved us with no problem and we moved in immediately. The only issue we had was the ac wasn't cooling right when we moved in and the Garbage disposal was broken. we alerted maintenance immediately and it was all fixed within the week. We have had no issues since. Melissa is great. she is so friendly and works with us on anything. I feel completely comfortable going to her with anything. we had an issue with the bank one month and couldn't get rent in time so we got a promise to pay the week later and it was fine. i love renting from them. I am so glad we made the call to come by and try this place out. It was a GOD send. I enjoy the pool and the small park for the Kids to go play and the gym is helping me alot with the rehabilitation of my ankle since my major surgery and I am even dropping some pounds. I love my quiet little home here.”

“I been going to the North Lakeland CORA location for a few months. I was apprehensive about switching from Watson Clinic but it turned out to be even better. It’s easy to get in to and I don’t sit in a waiting room. All the staff is friendly and kind. Many times Mickey, Pam, Mary or Eleana would talk to me about how I was feeling then go do a little research and come back with what exercise would really help me to improve. Over the last few months I got the strength back that I had lost after surgery. Now I recommend physical therapy to any one I care about who suffers from pain. You May think specialized exercise would make it worse (like trying a personal trainer did for me because they push you to the point that it hurts) but unlike a trainer...a physical therapist gives you the right amount of an exercise to improve without making the pain worse. This is a REAL review! CORA and their excellent team at the North Lakeland office has improved how I feel everyday. Now I just have to keep it up on my own. Thanks for getting me started guys!”

“Benda and Maricela do an awesome job working at this 7 Eleven. It is the best 7 Eleven around. They are quick and professional. The customers love talking to them and they know a lot of customers by name. They ask about their families and that is important. They usually keep that store humming M Thru F in the mornings. The coffee bar is always clean and fresh by Maricela. Benda keeps the lines moving quickly. Caesar and Corina do a great job managing the store.”
