My children (and I sometimes) were always terrible with electronics in our younger years, so we were bringing in tablets, laptops, phones, etc to get hardware replaced. I have never commissioned them on software issues, but they know what they're talking about so if I was ever in a pinch, I'd probably use them for that as well.
