Having been newly constructed it lends itself to an open flowing floor plan with many amenities that other places just cannot offer. From the entryway which has one feeling like they are entering a five-star hotel, to tastefully decorated wide hallways and spacious personal room sizes. Where else can you enjoy a Bistro, a private dining room for family gatherings and not one, but two Fine Dining Restaurants, a separate Library, Beauty Salon, Theater, Physical Therapy/Gym along with an outdoor Swimming Pool? The food is first rate with a variety of options that can cater to vegetarians, pescatarians and of course omnivores! And numerous parties/events to make everyone happy. But this is only the beginning!

What makes the Goldton at Venice truly exceptional is the excellence and commitment of the Executive Director Laura Blakeman and her wealth of knowledge and experience in managing all aspects in running such a dynamic residence. And being supported by a very detail-oriented Wellness Director Sean Krasensky along with a highly educated, professional and caring staff.

My loved one is in the memory care wing of this residence and I have witnessed him blossom in his awareness and activity level since his arrival. Throughout his professional career as an executive every thing always had to be "high level" so imagine my joy at having him tell me that 'this place is VERY high level"! The staff is very well trained and takes the time to get to know the residents and what needs to be done to motivate them and encourage them to make the best of their life!

Every time I visit he tells me how much he likes it here and how nice everyone is to him. In 26 months I have never heard such a remark from him. This is music to my ears as he was usually left alone in his room to watch TV in other facilities. And therein lies the distinction between The Goldton and other places. The Goldton is a 'community' of caring individuals and not a facility that basically warehouses individuals.

The Goldton has giving him his forever home, a happy place where he is safe and very well cared for! And it has given me serenity and the peace of mind knowing I am providing the very best I can for him!

The pricing is reasonable and with so much to offer I am sure there will be a waiting list for all levels of care (independent, assisted and memory care) in the not-too-distant future. You owe it to yourself and your loved one to check it out. I'm eternally grateful that I did!

My parents moved here after my dad had a debilitating stroke and it was too much work for my mom to keep up the family home on her own. I love visiting! The Goldton is like living at a brand new 5 star all inclusive resort. I am an interior designer and the styling of this place is superb. The staff are all friendly and wonderful and they can never do enough to help. My parents have made a good group of friends at this community and they often all meet up for dinner together in the evenings at one of the three restaurants available onsite. The food is very good, is made to order and various activities on and off site abound . My dad can do all of his PT and OT without needing to leave and my mom gets the chance to take a break. The Goldton is excellent value for money in my opinion but the peace of mind I have in knowing my parents aren’t alone to fend for themselves anymore is priceless. I used to worry constantly when I left them to go home but now I feel relieved knowing they are safe, comfortable and happy. The added bonus is that if ever needed, there is assisted living and memory care available onsite, so they won’t need to worry about moving again unless they want to.

I went to their open house as I was looking for someplace for a family member in need of memory care. I was blown away by how welcoming The Goldton feels. The Goldton seems like a resort with several dining areas, its own movie theater, spa, fitness center, and pool! They have a concierge doctor available as well as aquatic physical therapy! The staff are all so polite and greet residents by name! I not so jokingly asked if they'd let me move in, too!

Beautiful facility! But most importantly, the staff is hardworking and WONDERFUL! They are kind, patient, and giving, and they take every step to ensure comfort and joy for their residents. I’ve never heard a complaint about their meals either. It’s a great Independent Living facility, with Assisted and Memory Care to open in near future.

Just recently hired by The Goldton as their new Wellness Director. Already have spent some time there and I can't wait to spend many years with them! The building is beautiful and the food is wonderful. Ever looking for a snack? Stop by the Bistro and pick up the the soup and sandwich. The grilled cheese is wonderful!!
