Dr. Martin has been my doctor for years and has really helped me. She helped me get a diagnosis and start treatment. She even came to treat me in the hospital. I've also been impressed by Michael Hudack and the rest of the team I see regularly. I understand it can be very busy especially in the winter and I see people can get frustrated, but understand they will really take care of you and not rush your care.
Just wanted to share a really good experience this Monday. I went for my first dreaded colonoscopy as a right of passage into the 50’s. The medical profession was wonderful from start to finish - the cheerful lady who sits at the front taking temperatures telling me the worst is over from the night before and stating the surgical team would take care good of me. I was greeted by a kind nurse who escorted me into the preoperative bay where I changed into a gown and had an IV set-up. I had come prepared with gloves and a sweater due to fear of freezing during the procedure. This kind nurse was so comforting to my needs and concerns and provided me with a few heated blankets. They were very thorough and kept repeating questions from various members of the team as a safe guard: identity, procedure, vital signs, medications and allergies etc. I was rolled into the procedure room and a nurse put me on oxygen and asked me to take two slow deep breaths in and next thing I know I’m in the recovery room and it’s all over. The entire nursing staff and Dr. V made this procedure less fearful. Thank you again for how you guys work together as a team. I work in the medical field and it’s weird being the patient. I just wanted to take the time to acknowledge your professionalism and fantastic care. Thank you 💕💕💕😊 so much for the care at Dr V’s office and the pre-op help, operative and post- operative care and the call the following day .
I had both an endoscopy and colonoscopy at this facility recently. Beginning to end I could not imagine being treated with more consideration or more professionally. There were at least 8 'bays', with patients cordoned off by curtains, in various stages of prep and recovery. Before the procedures took place and while I lay waiting, 5 different staff, each with a clearly defined, particularized function, met with me;...the nurse who hooked up my IV and reviewed paperwork (Sue), another nurse who took vitals and administered a med (also a Sue), the anesthetist who was to provide the anesthetic, the anesthesiologist who reviewed my info with me and was on standby if anything untoward were to occur, and the Doctor (Vee for short) who would perform the procedures. Upon recovery, he reviewed findings and showed pictures of what was done.
Even tho there were many staff necessarily present given the number of patients and it was easy to feel as if there were an assembly line, the precision with which all of this was carried out was and the personal attention was impressive. Everyone was considerate and made me feel that I was not just a part in an auto body shop. Five stars.
