Sarasota Memorial Hospital – Venice

The staff here were so merry that it was infectious! Thank you to the receptionist for assisting and directly me promptly, thank you to the intake lady who was so sweet and friendly, and especially thanks to my mammogram tech for being so awesome and making a not great experience (mammograms are just painful) feel much better! Great staff, great experience! These ladies deserve an award!

Recently had a procedure at this hospital--could not have been better! The surgical staff was GREAT! So pleasant, professional, and caring. They were very pleasant towards each other and everyone sanitized their hands when entering and leaving my room.
This new hospital so beautiful- Makes an attitude difference for care. Dumpy places feel like your getting dumpy care. I bet it makes a difference on the employees too.

These are things patients notice that the staff may not be aware of. Not that I want another procedure....but if I need one -it will be at SMH Venice!

I have unfortunately been in quite a few hospitals in my day.
most hospitals i would rate a 2 at best. Now that being said, I give this institution 5 stars, unbelievably exceptional great care, from the time i walked in till the time i left the staff and doctors were very attentive and knowledgeable. It does not matter why one has to go to any hospital, and there is so many to choose from, i am more than glad i went here. One thing that stood out to me was the transporters, normally - they call a transport, you wait 30 or more minutes and then you go to your test. the they call for another transport, wait 30 or more minuets, you get the point, NOT HERE, Once i got a transporter, they stayed with me for every step of multiple tests that had to be done, I FELT LIKE I WAS KING, when i asked, i was told it was their policy, CLAP CLAP, way to go. Well i can not be all smiles, the only down side was, and it is the same for every hospital, it was cold..... that's it, that was the only down side.
