(February 22, 2019, 10:15 am)Awesome park for picnicking! Really nice big pavilions and more than enough picnic tables. The ladies bathroom was actually nice and clean, unlike most parks. The nature trail was somewhat neglected. We were unable to complete it straight through so we went in the beginning as far as we could go before turning back and starting at the end. We really liked the open fields, little bridges, and the abundance of wildlife and lush foliage. Excellent place to reconnect with nature clear your mind and enjoy the fresh air. Huge parking lots would make for good parties and gatherings etc..
Definitely a nice place to visit. -

The water on Lake Monroe is high at this time. Several boats on the lake today.
Love sitting on the benches and looking out over the lake.
