This place is responsible for my recovery. It has great amenities, it's a clean facility, and the staff members really care about what they're doing. The groups are comprehensive and helpful, and will address both mental health and substance abuse concerns. This program is, however, entirely what you make of it. La Amistad has provided me with all the tools I needed to get better, I simply began to apply them to my life. It has made all the difference in the world. I am truly thankful for my time and experiences here. They gave me hope and strength for my future that I never believed existed. I will never forget that
La Amsistad has really changed my life. Not only are the other people are really helpful but the staff is out standing. The groups are out of this world and will give you many helpful times to hold on to when you leave.
Best treatment center I've been to. Staff is amazing, food is good, facility is clean, and they make the groups both productive and fairly fun at the same time. They also do a great job with helping you make after care plans and have good step down programs to help you ease out of residential rather than just being thrown back into the world. Would highly recommend.
I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur of the Central Florida area mental health facilities. La Amistad is- bar none- the nicest inpatient residential facility that I have ever had the opportunity of visiting. From the staffing to the quality of the group and individual therapy sessions, La Amistad is, without exception, worthy of a 5 star review. Trust that if you need chemical recovery or mental health services, you will be more than satisfied with the services you receive here.
My time at La Amistad as a voluntarily admitted patient has been outstanding and absolutely beneficial to my recovery. The daily/weekly schedule is actually really helpful - there is always a group therapy session or class going on and just enough free time to decompress and take a (cigarette) break. The amazing staff is always willing to listen to any issues at hand and the group leaders will sit and answer your questions without hesitation. The grounds are well-kept and the facility overall is very open and relaxing. Weekend outings and monthly equine therapy sessions are a wonderful reward for patients that attend the sessions and are active in their recovery/treatment plan. I am and will forever be grateful for the time I was able to spend with my La Amistad family and friends.
