  Tommy is a dedicated teacher with a passion for his study. He is an amazing instructor and tailors lessons for his students to fit their particular needs or wants. Easily the best teacher I’ve had across all my studies, couldn’t recommend enough. Very professional, very talented, great communication, and very kind.

  I have been taking lessons with Tommy for almost four years now, and my guitar skills have, and continue to, improve at a fast pace. From the start, he has incorporated my preferences in music and my playing skill to provide fun and challenging songs to practice and play. He also goes into greater detail on many songs so I can learn from a certain playing style and improve my own improvisation skills. Tommy has countless pieces of music in tab and notation, and has given me blues, rock, jazz, and classical songs to work on. Tommy is an excellent guitar player and teacher, and I look forward to every lesson with him.

  A1A Guitar studio provides great lessons which are customized to the individual student and not from just a pre-planned lesson. I have been taking from Tommy for about 4 years. I started, completely clueless, in 2010 and continued for about 2.5 years. I learned the basics and some intermediate guitar. I continued to play on my own but hit a wall and since Tommy was so great I went back this past January to start learning more advanced music including finger picking. Its a good drive, about 40 mins, for me to get to the studio but to have lessons that are a full hour and 2 twice a month with someone as knowledgeable and willing to work with you makes it worth it. I highly recommend using A1A guitar studio.

  It's my pleasure to write Tommy a 5-star review. My daughter Kylie started lessons with Tommy when she was 7 years old. She has taken lessons with him for almost 2 years. Right from the beginning, he taught Kylie to play a complete song on her guitar. Now she has a notebook filled with songs she can play. During each lesson, he mixes compliments with corrections and encouragement. Kylie leaves each lesson inspired and excited. Tommy always seems to know when to offer Kylie new music to learn or when to continue with her current pieces. He always takes Kylie's likes and dislikes into consideration when offering a new song to learn. And he has an amazing library of music for students of all ages and levels. For the majority of Kylie's lessons, I will stay to observe the lesson and Tommy's office has a beautiful, golf-course view. However, if I need to run an errand, I feel that Kylie is completely safe with Mr. Tommy. He gets my highest recommendation and I look forward to many more years with him as my daughter's instructor.
