We’ve been to E&I too many times to count so it’s about time I left a review! My husband and I came in on our anniversary and had another fabulous experience. We noticed the special green booth in the back of the restaurant was available, and they happily let us sit there. CD was our server and he was so sweet for offering us complimentary glasses of champagne. The crab cake appetizer was full of flavor, the roasted duck entree was succulent and delicious, and my husband said the wagyu steak special was “cooked to perfection” *chef’s kiss*! I asked for a mocktail since I don’t drink and CD suggested the perfect mocktail without hesitation. Some servers act like it’s a hassle or somehow still serve you an alcoholic drink on accident (it’s happened 🙄) so I really appreciated that CD was so nice and enthusiastic about it. The ambiance, the service, and the food was 10/10. We love this place and will definitely be back again for other special occasions!
Enjoyed dining here after hearing many good things about them. The hype was up to par.
Located in a strip mall there is plenty of parking. They have an outdoor dining area for those who are so inclined. The interior was chic and lovely, open, and busy. The bar area was busy when we arrived on a Saturday around 4:30 and although mostly empty when we say, all the tables were full before we left.
Loved the wedge salad, which I shared with my beautiful wife and there was plenty for both of us. She had the Beeliner whole fish while I took our server Liz's advise and tried the duck legs special. We both had the charred okra on the side.
The charred flavors of the okra went well with the sweet stickiness of my duck legs, which were huge and meaty. I enjoyed it very much. My wife also loved the fish, which she opted to arrive sans head. (You just have to ask or it will be whole).
I also had to try one of their amazing cocktails and really liked the "Oh You Fancy". Definitely a go-to for upscale drinks as all the syrups are crafted in-house.
Overall, Liz provided excellent service, the food was very tasty and plentiful, and the overall vibe is fun and exciting. We will definitely return. I'm pondering their brunch for the near future!
Excellent local spot with great food and service. Had lunch here this past Father’s Day. It was my first time, but most certainly not my last time eating here. The staff was great and the food was fantastic. The shrimp and grits that I had were easily top two I’ve had. The only slight negative it’s location, but there is plenty of parking.
Ember & Iron never disappoints. One of the few local restaurants you can go for a date night or casual dining with family and friends or to celebrate something and have a great experience everytime. Owners are constantly there and approach the tables and see how everyone is doing and if they are happy with the food and service and the menu has a little of everything. And they are all uniquely prepared with that open fire grill. Do not hesitate to try it if you haven't. They also accept reservations and are very accommodating to larger parties.
Kudos to the chef on the food! It was our first time here and I have to say, the food was outstanding. The quality and quantity of food was excellent. Starting with Mediterranean appetizer of the day, the taste was exceptional! It was a unique change and full of flavor! Highly recommend you try it. The beet salad was also a burst of flavor, sweet, salty, and savory! I had the New York strip entree and it too was cooked to perfection, but, if anything bad is to be said, it was a little salty. The mashed potatoes were delicious and the mixed veggies delicious but, could the green beans could have been cooked just a tad more. They have a full bar and a decent selection of wines. Don't expect to leave here hungry! Also bring your wallet!! Reservations highly recommended.
