“Had to replace a clutch in my car and was recommended to come here and see Bert. Service was great and reasonably priced. When I had another issue months later with my tires, I returned here for the same great service I received the first time. He was quick to diagnose it and provided a quick turnaround time. Never got the impression that they were out to overcharge or overfix any issue. Straight, honest, and reliable. I also have appreciated their attention towards the COVID pandemic and limiting personal interaction. The only thing that would make it better would be a place to safely park your vehicle before/after hours. There is a key box drop off but nowhere to park safely. I am working during their shop hours so I’ve had to rush over there after they close because my car is parked outside the gate next to the road! Regardless, if I need more work done I know where to go.”

“My daughter attended this amazing school and completed her 1st grade there during the pandemic. We moved from South Florida to St. Johns and didn’t feel comfortable at that time taking her to the public school before the vaccines were out. I feel blessed that I met the most wonderful people that gave us all the support we needed during that difficult time. My daughter Sophia not only found her voice at River Oak but also had the opportunity to participate in innovation and entrepreneurship activities that were life changing for her. Sophia developed deep friendships in this almost “magical” environment that sees each individual as a person and their unique needs. From a learning perspective we had to supplement a bit some areas like Math and Science during summer, however she developed some amazing writing and reading skills at River Oak Academy using the “waseca” method. At the end of 1st grade her level of reading and writing was equivalent to 4th grade. Thanks to Mrs. Mary, Vincent, Vanessa and all that makes River Oak Academy such an amazing place for children. This is one of the “Best kept secrets” in Saint Johns, FL.”
