Had a great day with my wife and a friend. Saw manatees and fish from the boardwalk. I wish I had time to rent a kayak!
The boat tour was the highlight! Captain Tim Parker was witty and informative! We saw a lot of gators, and birds, and a couple of manatees. I can't wait to get back next year!
An amazing experience for not a lot of money! We only paid for the $6 entrance fee, but people could purchase boat tours, kayaking, snorkeling, and tubing activities. Even without purchasing any extra activities, we were able to see multiple manatees, large birds and fish, and even an owl! The water was clear and beautiful and there were designated swimming areas. There was an area to go scuba diving as well. The staff was super friendly and answered any questions we had and the food at the camp store was very good. Definitely the place to go to see wild manatees and enjoy a day walking along the river (on a boardwalk).
Beautiful park! Easy to find, but get there early to ensure you get in. Plenty of shade, picnic tables, & pavilions. Beautiful boardwalk follows path of spring from bubble point to where it hits the St. John's River. We were lucky enough to see several manatees in the morning playfully swimming around.
What a beautiful day. We didn't see any Manatees but that's probably because my friend was too lazy for us to rent a canoe. The water is so beautiful and clear. A we saw a fish stick his tongue out lol photo below. Great for swimming, canoeing and they have a guided tour boat that takes you out. Great day in nature.
My son, daughter-in law, grandson and youngest son and I went to see the manatees. We saw quite a few. Also able to get some great shots of the elusive Kingfisher! Great board walk for strollers. Narrative boat rides if you get there in time. Very nice park where you can swim and scuba dive, rent kayaks I believe. There were a lot of out of state tourists enjoying our beautiful Florida!
Welcome to Blue Spring State Park. Refreshing 72 degree waters of Blue Spring State Park greet visitors at this gem along the St. Johns River. Conservation measures can produce astounding results. In 1970, two years before Blue Spring State Park was established, researchers tracked 14 manatees in the spring run.
