Very professional and quick in office appointments. No waiting around in the office a lengthy amount of time when doing pre opp or follow up appointments. I was pleaes with how open and informative Dr Pranckun was at all stages of the procedure. I was given options on what i could do for my pain I was experiancing and never felt pressured to make a decision right there on the spot. I had surgery on my hip and the scarring alone i was blown away. I had expected a long incision on my leg from the surgery. But in fact I had two small one inch incisions where they were able to perform the operation. Felt very comfortable that I would heal and make a full recovery as long as I followed his advice. Definitely recommend Dr Pranckun and his staff for any joint surgery. Besides typical stiffness that is typical my hip feels so much better and my range of motion has improved immensely.

Dr. Pranckun and his entire staff were always courteous and professional. He provided care for my hip and knee and ensures you understand everything he talks about before you leave the office. Dr. Pranckun put back together a broken clavicle from a bike mishap on Avalanche. He is very personable, knowledgeable, and experienced, making me feel at ease from the get-go. Pranckun gave me a couple of options, surgery being the one I chose. He and all surgical staff were fantastic in putting me back together. I was fortunate that I experienced no pain after the surgery and everything healed beautifully besides some residual numbness which is expected. All post surgery follow ups went well though I hated having to wait three months to get back on my bike. I highly recommend Dr. Pranckun for your orthopedic needs.

On Christmas Eve, I took a hard fall and my knee buckled under me. Long story short I tore my meniscus and was having difficulty making it through a day of work. I spend most of my time on my feet so this was very uncomfortable for me. I met with Dr Pranckun and we quickly diagnosed what I had expected. He layed out my option and I decided to have surgery and get back on my feet as quickly as possible. Surgery went well and my recovery time was impressively quick. Dr Pranckun sent home with my wife pictures of the inside of my knee and explained what he did. He has been incredible throughout this whole process and I highly recommend him. On March 19 of 2020 I accidentally landed really bad and tore the ACL of my right leg. Due to COVID 19 the ACL replacement surgery was not considered of an emergency kind. So I was in crutches for 2 months. I couldn’t walk, but I could drive.

Dr. Pranckun called me one morning and told he could schedule me for surgery that same week, so on May 7th 2020 he performed the surgery. He gave me several options to choose from using cadaver parts to using a part of my quad. He explained to me the duration each choose would take for me to be rehabilitated 100% and the pro and cons. I think I changed my mind at least 3 times, including the day of the surgery . LOL.

He was so patient, kind, very profesional, trust worthy. He answered every single one of the tone of questioned I had. I even told him that I didn’t feel comfortable with him because I didn’t know him and I was used to deal with family surgeons in Panamá. That I would prefer to have my surgery done there with a friend of mine who I know for many years, but die to Covid restrictions, I didn’t have that option. I also told him that in Panama and Colombia the surgeons even visit their patients at their houses to make sure everything went well.

He took everything I said and still very kindly told me that he understood what I was feeling because he is also part Latin. That of course made the conversation warmer and I finally decided to put my leg on his hands.

I came out of surgery with almost no scar and he instructed my daughter on how to treat me during the next 24 hours and referee me to get PT on the next day. I can’t take pain medicine, so I was on pain. He called the next day, on a weekend to ask how I felt. And from there on he always showed a special interest on my well being.

I did everything he told me to and even more. But the first 2 weeks were the hardest due to the pain. He changed my pain medicine maybe 5 times until I felt comfortable with one. About 4 months after he was really surprised of my advance and very proud of my efforts as I am of having him as my surgeon. I am now 50 years old and perfectly running 5 miles an hour, working on my garden, dancing, using high heels and doing everything I thought I would never do again.

I highly recommend Dr. Pranckun to anyone with leg injuries. He will let you get the best treatment and his dedication and pasión for his work makes him just perfect. You will be pleased.

Un año después yo ya puedo correr 5 millas en una hora, puedo jardinear y hasta bailar, gracias al Dr. Pranckun.
