I met Dr. Fielding in the summer of 2012 when I was located in Durham on Sabbatical at Duke University as a Mellon Faculty Fellow. I had been in debilitating and chronic back pain for over 8 months before meeting her. I had a diagnosis of a protruding disc located at L5-S1. I had visited two physical therapists as prescribed by my neurologist and neither were helpful. After my first visit, and x-rays, Dr. Fielding discovered not just the protruding disc but that I have a reversed cervical curve and she worked on me immediately upon that discovery. What was impressive was that she called me the very next day to ask how I was doing. No doctor had ever done that!

I returned for three visits per week for one month as it was all that I had remaining on my year. I saw immediate improvements and was out of pain within the first two weeks. That was just the beginning. With each adjustment, my entire body felt stronger and re-energized and I also started to notice that I suffered with fewer and fewer symptoms from a disease that I have called Periodic Paralysis, Hypokalemic. I had been diagnosed with that since 2008. I take medication but upon regular maintenance with Dr. Fielding, the symptoms were improved by 80%.

Unfortunately for me, I had to move back home to DC and it has been two years and I still have not found a chiropractor that comes close to Dr. Fielding’s care, experience, effective techniques and knowledge. I have visited seven doctors and each one brought immediate pain to my current condition or they stimulated my body in a way that instigated my periodic paralysis. In fact, upon revisiting Dr. Fielding’s office one year later, I discovered that according to the new x-rays taken, the condition of my back had deteriorated well beyond her work. I had to start all over again and to date, have not been successful in finding a chiropractor that has worked as remarkably as Dr. Fielding. Not only is she an amazing doctor, she is caring and engaging with the patient. I passed on her name to approximately six people of which I believe three or four became fairly regular clients.

I have driven down for care on a number of occasions though the distance was a four and a half hour drive but it was worth it for her adjustments and now in Atlanta, will do the 8.5 hour drive too!!!

I highly recommend Dr. Fielding and Holistic Chiropractic. I have been seeing Dr. Fielding since 2007 and would never even think of going to anyone else. Even the most skittish patient would be comfortable in her hands since she uses a very gentle technique when making adjustments. Currently, it takes me 25 to 30 minutes to get to her office and I will continue to make that drive because it is worth it! When I first starting seeing Dr. Fielding, I had daily debilitating headaches and I no longer have the headaches thanks to her.

Dr. Fielding and her staff are professional, compassionate, and genuinely concerned with promoting optimal health through a combination of holistic principles and common sense choices. I was impressed when I asked her to approve a device for my lower back pain and instead of doing so she provided me with a list of back-strengthening exercises that have improved the condition.
